Michael Minor has been a substitute bass musician for San Francisco Ballet Orchestra since 2019. He has also freelanced for El Paso Symphony Orchestra, Mendocino Music Festival, Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra & Chorale, San Francisco Symphony, Santa Cruz Symphony, and many other groups throughout the United States.

Minor has played alongside some of the world’s leading emerging artists at the Rome Chamber Music Festival, Aspen Music Festival and School, and Festival Domaine Forget in Quebec.

The bassist received his degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Scott Pingel. Minor maintains a private bass studio with many of his students reaching All-State level in both Texas and California, as well as winning positions in conservatories and universities around the country.
