Robin Hansen


Born in Berkeley, CA, violinist Robin Hansen, holds a Bachelor of Music from University of California at Berkeley. While at UC Berkeley, she participated in Los Angeles Philharmonic Institute Orchestra under the tutelage of Michael Tilson Thomas and Leonard Bernstein.

Upon graduation, Hansen received three consecutive Alfred Hertz Memorial Traveling Scholarships for study with Alex Treger in Los Angeles and Christiane Edinger in Munich. Subsequently, she became a founding concertmaster of New World Symphony under the baton of Michael Tilson Thomas.

Robin holds a first violin position with San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, performs regularly with San Francisco Opera Orchestra, and is concertmaster of Midsummer Mozart Festival Orchestra under the direction of Maestro George Cleve.
