SAN FRANCISCO BALLET AUXILIARY

SAN FRANCISCO BALLET AUXILIARY

Who We Are

The SF Ballet Auxiliary is a volunteer organization supporting SF Ballet, the oldest professional ballet company in America. Since 1942, the SF Ballet Auxiliary has spearheaded initiatives and events that raise millions of dollars each year for SF Ballet and SF Ballet School. These events not only raise vital funds, but also offer guests a unique opportunity to celebrate the Company, its extraordinary dancers, and all of the generous patrons.

Our Mission

The Auxiliary supports the Association through volunteering time and talent in fundraising, enhancing community support, and visibility in cooperation with the Administration, Board, Company, and School of the Association. We are a supportive and inclusive community of active and sustaining members who are passionate about dance and the arts and who use our expertise and networks to support SF Ballet’s mission.

Special Events

Each year the SF Ballet Auxiliary collaborates with the SF Ballet Association on select fundraising events to support the Ballet. These events vary year to year in support of the strategic priorities of the SF Ballet Association. The SF Ballet Auxiliary also hosts membership events throughout the year that include luncheons, wine tastings, and special gatherings that provide fun, social and educational experiences for members and supporters of SF Ballet. The Auxiliary’s Education & Outreach Committee supports SF Ballet School by planning activities for students including a Winter Formal, Thanksgiving dinners, and other social events. Some of the events hosted by the Auxiliary include SF Ballet's Opening Night Gala, SF Ballet School's Spring Festival, President's Welcome Reception, Provisional Stroll, and Annual Luncheon.
