Investigating the Future of Ballet Together

Nestled in the heart of city, San Francisco Ballet represents some of the beloved qualities that characterize the Bay Area: resilient, artistically passionate, and always pushing the creative envelope. From our introduction of Nutcracker into the common vernacular as a holiday tradition, to our spectacular reimagining of what ballet can be through events like the 2018 Unbound Festival, SF Ballet commits to leadership and forging new paths. This kind of initiative is only possible through your belief and support—with you, we can keep art alive and investigate the future of ballet.

Artists' Reserve fund

A dancer’s career ends all too soon. Before the final curtain comes down, the Artists’ Reserve Fund ensures SF Ballet dancers are able to pursue career transition goals while maintaining a full rehearsal and performance schedule. On average, more than 20 dancers receive financial grants from the Artists’ Reserve Fund each year.

Please note that donations to the Artists' Reserve Fund are fully tax-deductible. However, donations do not count toward membership in the Friends of SF Ballet or the Christensen Society.
