A graduate of Northwestern University, Marilyn Coyne is a 2nd oboe and English horn for San Francisco Ballet Orchestra. Coyne has performed with both San Francisco Symphony and San Francisco Opera Orchestra.

With her second home on the East Coast, Coyne works regularly as a freelance musician in the New York City area where she performs with American Ballet Theatre Orchestra, American Symphony, The New York Pops, Bronx Arts Ensemble, and many others.

An active teacher, Coyne is on the faculty of The Norwood School of Music and coaches for New Jersey Symphony Youth Orchestra.
