This spring, San Francisco Ballet Auxiliary and Sam Malouf Authentic Luxury will present an exclusive Fashion Show from acclaimed designer Jason Wu. Andi Valo-Espina will serve as the San Francisco Ballet Auxiliary Fashion Show Chair.
The return of the SF Ballet Auxiliary Fashion Show will be marked by a fresh, new format and setting. The stunning Beaux-Arts Colonnade and Art-Deco style of the Bently Reserve will serve as a dramatic backdrop for Wu’s iconic designs. The event will begin with a reception, followed by the runway show and a post-show reception. Guests who purchase VIP tickets to the event will also have the opportunity to join Wu for an exclusive dinner to be held the evening prior to the event.
Jason Wu is world-renowned for creating timeless classics that have a glamorous sensibility and a distinctly feminine aesthetic. Since his first ready-to-wear collection debuted in 2007, he has become a leading global talent, dedicated to making clothes that are beautifully created from the inside out. Over the course of his career, Wu has dressed some of the most influential women in the world including First Lady Michelle Obama, Reese Witherspoon, Julianne Moore, Diane Kruger, Kerry Washington, and Christy Turlington, among many others.
Wu has received many accolades, including being named one of the finalists in the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund in 2008. In 2010 he won the Swarovski Award for Womenswear at the CFDA Fashion Awards, and in 2011 he was nominated for the CFDA/Swarovski Award for Accessory Design. Wu was appointed artistic director of Hugo Boss womenswear ready-to-wear and accessory collection in 2013. More recently, he was honored with the Fashion Star Award at The Fashion Group International Night of Stars 2015 and the 2016 International Designer of Year at the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards.
Proceeds will benefit a wide range of San Francisco Ballet initiatives, including new works, scholarships for San Francisco Ballet School students, and community outreach programs. Tickets will sell out quickly!
