SF BALLET AT THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB
A Community Partnership
Throughout the school year, San Francisco Ballet Teaching Artists visit Boys & Girls Clubs throughout the city to teach an array of dance classes to community youth.
Weekly Dance and ballet Class at Boys & Girls Clubs of SF Clubhouses
During the school year, weekly ballet and world dance classes are taught by a SF Ballet Dance Teaching Artist at various Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco Clubhouses . Classes are for boys and girls usually in grades 1–5. Contact your Clubhouse for information on their SF Ballet Dance or Ballet Class.
Special Days Filled with World Dance and Music
Dance Days are held at the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco Clubhouses with SF Ballet Dance Teaching Artists and Accompanists. These are half-day or full- day dance classes in a range of dance styles, including ballet, hip hop, folk dance, world dance, and music. Dance Days are open to boys and girls in grades K–12. They are usually held during San Francisco Unified School District school breaks (parent-teacher conference week, Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, and Spring Break). Contact your Clubhouse for information on their upcoming SF Ballet Dance Days.
Educational Tours of SF Ballet
See What It’s Like Inside a Real Ballet School
Throughout the year, we offer interactive, educational tours of SF Ballet. These free tours can include an on-site dance workshop, a chance to see and touch ballet costumes and shoes, and an opportunity to peek into dance studios where professional ballet dancers and ballet school dancers rehearse. Open to grades K–12.
