SUMMER DANCE CAMP

Since 2015, San Francisco Ballet has partnered with Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF) to provide a free, week-long summer dance program that promotes creative expression through the performing arts.

Summer Dance Camp is held at SF Ballet (455 Franklin Street at Fulton Street) and the BGCSF Don Fisher Clubhouse (380 Fulton Street) from June 9-13, with a culminating showcase performance for family and friends on Friday, June 13 at 5pm at SF Ballet.

Summer Dance Camp participants learn a range of dance styles, taught by professional teaching artists and musicians, that may include Ballet, Dance Theatre, Hip Hop, Bhangra, Bollywood, Chinese Folk Dance, and West African Dance and Drumming. Participants are expected to attend all five days of Summer Dance Camp.

Lunch, snacks, before care, and aftercare are provided during Summer Dance Camp at Boys & Girls Club of San Francisco at the Don Fisher Clubhouse (380 Fulton Street) across the street from SF Ballet. Campers will receive a Dance Camp t-shirt and completion certificate on the last day.

Registration

9:45 am: All campers meet at Don Fisher Clubhouse. BGCSF staff walk with youth from Don Fisher Clubhouse to SF Ballet for Summer Dance Camp.*

10:00 am – 10:15 am: All Groups Warm Up

10:15 – 10:55 am: Class 1

10:55 – 11:05 am: Restroom and Snack Break

11:05 – 11:45 pm: Class 2

11:50 – 12:50 pm: Lunch at Don Fisher Clubhouse*

1:00 – 1:40 pm: Class 3

1:40 – 1:45 pm: Restroom Break

1:45 – 2:25 pm: Class 4

2:25 – 2:55 pm: All Groups Cumulative Class

2:55 pm: Dismissal/Return to Boys & Girls Club

*BGCSF staff always walk with youth between Don Fisher Clubhouse and SF Ballet.

Culminating Showcase Presentation

Family and friends are invited to a free culminating showcase presentation at SF Ballet (455 Franklin Street) on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 5 pm. Participants perform dances that they learned during Summer Dance Camp.
