Meet the Artist: Choreographer and Dancer Myles Thatcher
On Choreographing and Dancing in the Unbound Festival
Choreographer and SFB dancer Myles Thatcher eloquently describes the experience of participating in the Unbound: Festival of New Works as both a choreographer and a dancer. He discusses the creative process from the dancer’s point of view, performing in Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s Guernica and in Alonzo King’s The Collective Agreement. Then he explains the motivation for his own work, Otherness, elaborating on his choice of casting both a male and a female in separate casts for his lead character.
