THE MAKING OF MERE MORTALS

THE MAKING OF MERE MORTALS

A glimpse into the creative process

On World Ballet Day, viewers got a sneak peek into the process and creative mind of choreographer Aszure Barton with a featured live stream of Mere Mortals. Slated to make its world premiere in San Francisco on January 26, this new work is the creative brainchild of Barton, composer Sam Shepherd (aka Floating Points), and a heavy-hitting creative team including experiential artists Hamill Industries, costume designer Michelle Jank, and dramaturg Carmen Kovacs.

Watch as Aszure Barton leads Company rehearsal featuring Principal Dancer Isaac Hernandez.

Mere Mortals returns to the stage April 18–24.
