Matching Gifts Supporting Dance in Schools and Communities

All new and increased gifts supporting SF Ballet’s Dance in Schools and Communities (DISC) program received by December 31, 2020 will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $100,000, by our supportive friends at the Diana Dollar Knowles Foundation.

Pre-pandemic, the DISC residency program served approximately 3,000 PreK–12 students at over 45 public schools in San Francisco each year. SF Ballet’s education programs aim to provide equitable access to dance and ballet to youth, families, and community members. You can help support SF Ballet’s Dance in Schools and Communities (DISC) programs to make an even greater impact in these vulnerable and challenging moments for students across the Bay Area and beyond. Due to the impact of COVID-19 school closures, SF Ballet continues to pivot to provide over 60,000 children with equitable access to virtual dance education through a daily educational television show on KTVU Plus, Zoom dance classes for public schools, and free access to a streaming Nutcracker performance for youth at Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco.
