From Fairfax, California, Lacey Escabar received her training at Dance Theatre 7 and San Francisco Ballet School. Named an apprentice in 2012, she joined the Company in 2013.
Escabar has danced featured roles in Tomasson’s Giselle (Bathilde) and Lifar’s Suite en Blanc (Sieste).
Her repertory also includes Tomasson’s Nutcracker (Snowflake, Flower, and Party Guest) and Romeo & Juliet; Tomasson/Possokhov’s Don Quixote; Neumeier’s The Little Mermaid; Wheeldon’s Cinderella (Bird Lady and Courtier); Balanchine’s Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet (1st and 4th movements) and Symphony in Three Movements; Fokine’s Petrouchka; Makarova’s (after Petipa) Kingdom of the Shades, Act II from La Bayadère; Possokhov’s Firebird; Ratmansky’s Shostakovich Trilogy (Symphony #9); and Robbins’ Glass Pieces.
She participated in the SF Ballet School Trainee Program in 2010–2011 and 2011–2012 and received the Richard Barker Scholarship Award in 2012.
