San Francisco Ballet, in partnership with Kaiser Permanente, is offering a 8- week dance class series specially designed for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease.

Classes are taught by Cecelia Beam, Master of Science in Ballet. All classes taught to live piano accompaniment and are offered free-of-charge. We just ask that you commit to all 8 classes. Space is limited. Registration is required by Dec 30.

Wear loose and comfortable clothing. Modeled after the Dance for PD® classes developed by the Mark Morris Dance Group and Brooklyn Parkinson Group and designed specifically for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease and their spouses, family members, friends, and caregivers. These classes will integrate ballet, modern, folk, and improvisation to engage in an experience that will develop individual artistic expression while honoring PD-specific concerns such as balance, flexibility, coordination, isolation, and depression.
