SF Ballet Trustee Donald Houghton

On Friday, June 9, 2017 SF Ballet Trustee Donald Houghton died peacefully, at the age of 90. SF Ballet Artistic Director & Principal Choreographer Helgi Tomasson noted: “I met Donald shortly after I arrived at San Francisco Ballet and throughout the years, he never ceased to be an incredible advocate for us. I always had tremendous respect for him and am grateful for the friendship we had for over three decades; he will be so missed.”

Summer Ballet Camp & Classes

SF Ballet School has two new summer programs for younger dancers: Ballet Summer Camp (for ages 8–11) and Pre-Ballet (for ages 4–7). Taught by SF Ballet School faculty members Kristi DeCaminada and Ilona McHugh, these programs will be held July 5–28 in the Richmond district studios of Ballet with Miss Tilly.
