Pauli Magierek Born: Chicago, IllinoisNamed Apprentice in 1997. Joined in 1998. Promoted to Soloist in 2008. Born in Chicago, Magierek studied at the Ruth Page Foundation School of Dance, Chicago Academy for the Arts, Royal Ballet School, and Houston Ballet Academy. She was appointed apprentice in 1997, joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet the following year, and was promoted to soloist in 2008. She has performed featured roles in a variety of classical works including Lead Czardas in Tomasson’s Swan Lake, Bathilde in Tomasson’s Giselle, Rosaline in Tomasson’s Romeo & Juliet, White Cat in Tomasson’s The Sleeping Beauty, Mirliton and Arabian in Tomasson’s Nutcracker, and Gypsy Queen in Tomasson/Possokhov’s Don Quixote. Magierek has danced lead roles in Christensen’s Filling Station; MacMillan’s Elite Syncopations; van Manen’s Grosse Fuge; de Mille’s Rodeo; Robbins’ Fancy Free and West Side Story Suite; and Taylor’s Changes, Company B, and Spring Rounds. In addition, she created roles in Elo’s Double Evil, Jenkins’ Thread, and Robson’s The Energy Between Us. |
