SF Ballet's own, Myles Thatcher confronts societal binaries. Cathy Marston inspired by the tormented love triangle in Edith Wharton’s Ethan Frome. David Dawson creates using music from Ezio Bosso, the gifted Italian composer with ALS.

Aussie Texan, Stanton Welch, observes the individual in the eternal. Trey McIntyre re-remembers with score by folk musician Chris Garneau. And inspired by the work of Picasso, Belgian Columbian artist Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, unearths violence and eroticism with an electronic score.

Dwight Rhoden, founder of America's first multicultural ballet company (Complexions Contemporary Ballet), travels through passion and connection. And from the David Lynch of dance, Arthur Pita's imagination springs forth with songs by Icelandic singer/songwriter Björk. Watch an interview with Taiwanese-born dancer from Marin County, Edwaard Liang, who conceives of an "infinite ocean" between life and death.
