After receiving rave reviews last season, SF Ballet presents an encore engagement of John Cranko’s dramatic story ballet, Onegin. The San Francisco Chronicle named Onegin the #1 dance event of 2012, calling the production “A visual feast… remarkably imaginative… a ballet that has the power to change the way you see dance forever.” Based on Alexander Pushkin’s classic novel, this sumptuous full-length work is set to a score by Tchaikovsky, with lavish scenery and costumes by award-winning designer Santo Loquasto.
