Summer Dance Camp
Best. Week. Ever.
Since 2015, San Francisco Ballet has partnered with Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF) to provide a free, week-long summer dance program that promotes creative expression through the performing arts.
Summer Dance Camp is held at SF Ballet (455 Franklin Street at Fulton Street) and the BGCSF Don Fisher Clubhouse (380 Fulton Street). This year’s Camp will be from June 8–12, 2026, with a culminating showcase performance for family and friends on Friday, June 12 at 4:30pm at SF Ballet.
Summer Dance Camp participants learn a range of dance styles, taught by professional teaching artists and musicians that may include Ballet, Hip Hop, Bhangra, Bollywood, and West African Dance and Drumming. Participants are expected to attend all five days of Summer Dance Camp.
Lunch, snacks, before care, and aftercare, are provided at Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco Don Fisher Clubhouse (380 Fulton Street) across the street from SF Ballet, during Summer Dance Camp. Campers will receive a free Dance Camp t-shirt and completion certificate on the last day.
SUMMER DANCE CAMP 2026 DETAILS
When
June 8–12, 2026 from 10:00am–3:00pm each day. Culminating performance for families and friends on Friday, June 12 from 4:30-6:00pm.
Where
SF Ballet building at 455 Franklin Street and BGCSF Don Fisher Clubhouse (380 Fulton Street – across the street from SF Ballet).
What
One week of dance, music, and fun! Participants are expected to attend all five days of Summer Dance Camp.
Who
Summer Dance Camp is open to youth ages 6–13. All participants must be members of Boys & Girls Clubs of SF for summer session 2026 (either Session 1 or all summer). No previous dance experience needed.
SHOWCASE PERFORMANCE
Family and friends are invited to a free, culminating performance at SF Ballet (455 Franklin Street) on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 4:30pm. Participants perform dances and drumming that they learned during their week of Summer Dance Camp. Campers receive a free Dance Camp t-shirt and completion certificate on the last day.
Registration
Dance Camp Registration is TWO STEP process!
All campers must be registered as a Boys & Girls Club of SF (BGCSF) member for Summer Session 2026 (either Full 8-week summer session or Session 1) in addition to submitting the SF Ballet Registration Form. Registration closes on June 5.
Completion of the SF Ballet Summer Dance Camp registration form does not guarantee acceptance. After submitting the registration form, you will receive an email response that we received your registration within a week. If approved, registrants will be emailed a Camp confirmation and more details by June 3, 2026.
