About the Gala
Walk the red carpet and mingle over cocktails before savoring a sumptuous three-course dinner at San Francisco City Hall, prepared by McCalls Catering & Events; followed by a one-night-only performance curated by Artistic Director Tamara Rojo at the War Memorial Opera House. Then cap off the evening at our legendary After Party with popular Bay Area DJs and a live band.
With the visionary flair of J. Riccardo Benavides of Ideas Event Styling, the 2026 Opening Night Gala bursts to life in vibrant color, immersive design, and unexpected artistry—a bold reflection of San Francisco Ballet’s new era. More than an evening, it’s a multisensory celebration of innovation and movement—provocative, relevant, and electric.
