Katelyn Tan

Katelyn Tan is a pianist/arranger/composer based in the Bay Area. Born and raised in San Francisco, she began her musical studies at the age of 10. She completed her Master of Music at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2020. She currently works as a pianist for the San Francisco Ballet, where she plays in the school and has played company classes and rehearsals. She is also a staff accompanist for the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she has also appeared as a guest lecturer. In the past, Katelyn has been a rehearsal pianist for companies including San Francisco Opera, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, San Francisco Girls Chorus, Smuin Ballet, Berkeley Ballet Theater, and the American Conservatory Theater. She is also the pianist/arranger of her trio, Sixth Station Trio, that specializes in playing classical arrangements of video game, pop, and film music. Outside of the ballet and her trio, she was also a keyboardist for the Stardew Valley Symphony of Seasons Orchestra and the Undertale Determination Symphony US tours. In addition to being a pianist, she composes and produces Lo-Fi music under the artist name Demon Gummies and was signed to GameChops Record Label in 2026. Katelyn joined the San Francisco Ballet in 2018.
