DROP-IN CLASSES, WINTER/SPRING

Drop-in classes run like a traditional ballet class starting at the barre and then moving to the center through traditional class exercises and combinations. Be prepared to sweat (at least a little) and to have a good time. Not recommend for beginners.

“An in-class experience allows you to enhance what you see on stage in the Opera House. Our students range in age and ability, from 16 years old to most in their late 60s and early 70s. Some of our students have never had a ballet class before, while other have had years of experience.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Who teaches the classes?

The following SF Ballet School faculty regularly teach the Adult Ballet classes: Tina LeBlanc, Jeff Lyons, Wendy Van Dyck, and Pascal Molat.

What if I’m not sure I will be able to complete the class?

We encourage you to attend and complete as much of the class as you feel capable of. If you need to sit out for the last combination or two, that’s just fine, you’re welcome to watch.

Can I watch a class before taking one?

Unfortunately we do not allow class observations. We encourage you to try it out and see if you like it. You’ll have a much better understanding of the class if you’re up and moving than by sitting and watching.

What happens if I’m late to class?

For the safety and consideration of all, studio doors will close five minutes after class begins.
