Anne-Sophie Rodriguez, an alumna of San Francisco Ballet School, is a teacher and former professional dancer. Born in France, she studied with Colette Armand in Marseille as well as at SF Ballet School and Boston Ballet School. Rodriguez danced with Boston Ballet, Tulsa Ballet, the Norwegian National Ballet, the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, and Ballet Internationale.
Rodriguez started teaching when former SF Ballet Soloist Edward Ellison (himself an SF Ballet School alumni and former Faculty member) asked her to teach at his school. Rodriguez has also taught at the Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet, Joffrey Ballet School, and Ballet Arts, and served as Pentacle's Behind the Scenes Choreography Mentor at the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts. Since moving back to the Bay Area in 2012, Rodriguez has been on the faculty of City Ballet School in San Francisco. She holds certifications in classical dance instruction for elementary, intermediate, and advanced classes from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy Teacher Training Program; she is also a graduate of the Janet Stone Yoga 500-hour program.
