SUMMER DANCE CAMP
Free summer dance camp in partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco
Summer Dance Camp Overview
Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF) and San Francisco Ballet partner together to offer a free, week-long dance program to promote creative expression and encourage education through the performing arts!
For five consecutive days, BGCSF members will have the opportunity to take classes from professional teaching artists on-site at San Francisco Ballet School. Summer Dance Camp is open to BGCSF members between the ages of 6–18.
Summer Dance Camp is held at San Francisco Ballet School (455 Franklin Street at Fulton) from 11 am–4 pm and culminates in a final showcase performance for friends and family.
Summer Dance Camp participants learn a range of dance styles, including ballet, dance theatre, hip hop, Bhangra, Bollywood, Chinese folk dance, and West African dance and drumming. Participants are expected to attend all five days of Summer Dance Camp.
Lunch, snacks, before care, and aftercare will be provided during Summer Dance Camp at Boys & Girls Club of San Francisco – Don Fisher Clubhouse (380 Fulton Street) across the street from SF Ballet.
We are deeply saddened to announce that Summer Dance Camp 2020 has been cancelled as a result of the evolving COVID-19 situation. The health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff are our top priority and has driven us to make this difficult decision. We hope to dance with you again in summer 2021.
