SUMMER DANCE CAMP OVERVIEW

Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF) and San Francisco Ballet will once again partner together to offer a free, week-long dance program for youth that inspires connection, creativity, and confidence through dance and music!

June 5–9, 2023

For five consecutive days, BGCSF members are invited to take dance and music classes in a broad range of styles from professional teaching artists and musicians on-site at San Francisco Ballet School (455 Franklin Street at Fulton). Summer Dance Camp is open to BGCSF members going into grades K-8th.

Summer Dance Camp will be held from 10:00 am–3:00 pm on June 5–9, 2023. Campers are expected to attend all 5 days of camp, which will culminate in a showcase performance for friends and family on Friday, June 9 at 5 pm at SF Ballet. Campers will receive a Dance Camp t-shirt and completion certificate on the last day.

Summer Dance Camp participants learn a range of dance styles. Past offerings have included ballet, dance theatre, hip hop, Bhangra, Bollywood, Chinese folk dance, Taiko drumming, and West African dance and drumming.

Lunch, beforecare, and aftercare will be provided during Summer Dance Camp at Boys & Girls Club of San Francisco — Don Fisher Clubhouse (380 Fulton Street) across the street from SF Ballet.

STUDENT SHOWCASE PERFORMANCE

Friday, June 9, 5–6:30 pm at SF Ballet, 455 Franklin Street, San Francisco

Family and friends are invited to a free culminating showcase performance on Friday, June 9 at 5 pm. Participants will perform dances and drumming that they learned during Summer Dance Camp.
