STUDENT MATINEES FOR K-12 SCHOOLS

PERFORMANCES DESIGNED FOR SCHOOL GROUPS

Introduce your students to the excitement of live dance and music by joining San Francisco Ballet for our spring 2023 Student Matinee performance. Student Matinees are a wonderful way to expose students to the transformative power of the performing arts. Designed especially for school groups, these engaging and interactive performances captivate students’ imaginations with dazzling choreography, memorable music, and spectacular sets and costumes.

The 60-minute educational and interactive Student Matinee program includes:

  • An introduction to ballet as an art form;
  • Performance by SF Ballet professional dancers accompanied by the SF Ballet Orchestra;
  • A behind-the-scenes look into a ballet dancer’s career and what it takes to put on a performance.

2022-2023 STUDENT MATINEE PERFORMANCE

Join San Francisco Ballet during the 2022–2023 school year for a Student Matinee performance of Act I of Cinderella on April 6, 2023.

PRICE: $10 per ticket for student or adult, 25 ticket minimum

TICKETS

All Student Matinee tickets are $10 per person. There is a minimum of 25 tickets per order to qualify for the Student Matinee price.

Purchase Tickets

Wheelchair seating positions are available. Please indicate how many wheelchair-accessible spaces your group requires when ordering.

Confirmation of your order request will be sent via email within 7–10 business days. Entrance tickets and seating maps will be sent approximately two weeks prior to the performance date. Increases in the total number of tickets in an order will be allowed on a space-available basis only. No refunds or exchanges.

Student Matinees are for youth audiences and K–12 school groups only. All other groups may purchase discounted tickets to Cinderella by contacting Group Sales at 415-865-2000 or groups@sfballet.org for more information.

To ensure a great experience for everyone, no children under age five, including babes in arms. Everyone entering the Opera House, regardless of age, must have a ticket, and children must occupy their own seats.

GETTING HERE

The performance takes place at the historic SF War Memorial Opera House at 301 Van Ness Avenue. Public transportation via Muni and BART is convenient, and parking is available nearby. All school groups are responsible for their own transportation.
