Our Studios and Facilities
Students may check-in and use the designated studio and restrooms on the first floor 15 minutes prior to the start of each class. Restrooms are located outside of the studios. Showers and designated changing rooms are not available.
For the safety and consideration of all, studio doors close five minutes after class begins. Adult participants need to exit the building within 15 minutes after the class has ended.
All purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Single classes have a 30-day expiration. You can track your expiration date on your MindBody account online or through the MindBody app. Please note: Expiration dates will not be extended for any reason, including session breaks.
If you are unable to attend a class, please go to your MindBody account and cancel at least 1 hour before your pre-paid class. If you cancel in 1 hour or less before the class starts, you will be charged for that class.
COVID-19 vaccinations are required to attend all in-person classes. Please be prepared to present your card to the SFB staff member for every class. Acceptable forms include a physical card, a photograph of your card, or the digital CA vaccination record.
Upon entry at SFB, you will be asked to answer the health screening questions. If you anticipate answering yes to any of the questions, please do not come to SFB. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will allow you to reschedule for another class.
Everyone must always wear a mask in the SF Ballet Building. Acceptable masks include surgical, N95, KN95, and fabric masks. Please wear your mask properly, over your nose and under your chin. Masks that are NOT acceptable include masks with a valve or those that are a scarf or gator style.
Please don’t arrive any more than 15 minutes prior to class, or you will be asked to wait outside. Check-in will begin 15 minutes prior to class in the lobby, and pre-registration is required. At this time, we cannot accept walk-up registrations.
Adults and teens over the age of 16. We offer levels starting at absolute beginner.
Dress is informal, but we recommend a t-shirt, leotard or tight-fitting leggings, or shorts. Please also have your hair pulled back out of your face (ponytail, braid, bun, etc.). Ballet slippers are required for in-person classes.
Masks are required (see COVID-19 protocols above).
We have virtual classes on Zoom and in-person classes at 455 Franklin Street, San Francisco, CA 94102. View Getting Here.
SF Ballet School Faculty, including Cecelia Beam, Alyssa Puleo, and Anne-Sophie Rodriguez and special guests from the Company.
We encourage you to attend and complete as much of the class as you feel capable. If you need to sit out for the last combination or two, that’s fine.
Unfortunately, we do not allow class observations. We encourage you to try it out and see if you like it. You will have a much better understanding of the class if you are up and moving, rather than sitting and watching.
For the safety and consideration of all, studio doors will close five minutes after class begins.
