GENERAL INFORMATION

Our Studios and Facilities

Students may check-in and use the designated studio and restrooms on the first floor 15 minutes prior to the start of each class. Restrooms and a water fountain are located outside of the studios. Showers and designated changing rooms are not available.

For the safety and consideration of all, studio doors close five minutes after class begins. Please exit the building within 15 minutes after the class has ended.

Purchases

All purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Single classes have a 30-day expiration and 10-class cards have a 90-day expiration. You can track your expiration date on your MindBody account online or through the MindBody app. Please note: Expiration dates will not be extended for any reason, including session breaks; please purchase your single and 10-class cards according to the season dates listed on the Drop-In Classes page.

For Drop-In classes: If you are unable to attend a class, please go to your MindBody account and cancel at least 2 hours before your pre-paid class. If you cancel in 2 hours or less before the class starts, you will be charged for that class.

Adults and teens over the age of 16. We offer levels from beginner to intermediate/advanced.

Dress is informal, but we recommend a t-shirt, leotard or tight-fitting leggings, or shorts. Please also have your hair pulled back out of your face (ponytail, braid, bun, etc.). Ballet slippers are required for all classes.

Drop-In classes, series, and the summer workshop take place at 455 Franklin Street, San Francisco, CA 94102. Directions.

We offer one drop-in class at FITNESS SF - Fillmore on Tuesday evenings.

SF Ballet School Faculty, including Tina LeBlanc, Jeff Lyons, Dana Genshaft, Cecelia Beam, Alyssa Puleo, and Anne-Sophie Rodriguez.

We encourage you to attend and complete as much of the class as you feel capable.  If you need to sit out for the last combination or two, that’s fine.

Unfortunately, we do not allow class observations. We encourage you to try it out and see if you like it. You will have a much better understanding of the class if you are up and moving, rather than sitting and watching.
