Summer Programs
A SUMMER OF GROWTH AND CREATIVITY
San Francisco Ballet School’s Summer Program welcomes dedicated ballet students, from those discovering dance to advanced students on a professional path. Classes, workshops, and sessions are led by distinguished faculty and skilled live accompanists in an environment that combines expert instruction with the energy of a world-leading ballet company. Throughout the season, young artists build technique, spark creativity, and experience the joy of dance.
CLASSES
Weekly classes for dancers ages 2 to 13 taught by School faculty. Build coordination, musical awareness, and a love of movement. No audition is required.
A four-week session for students ages 12–15 (as of July 1, 2025), featuring daily classes in technique, pointe, batterie, pas de deux, repertoire, and conditioning. Supervised dorm housing is available.
A four-week advanced session for students ages 15–18 (as of July 1, 2025). This pre-professional track includes daily technique, pointe, batterie, pas de deux, contemporary repertoire, acting workshops, and conditioning with a minimum of 15 classes per week. Supervised dorm housing is available.
Admission to Sessions I and II is by audition or invitation from the artistic leadership. Audition groups are age-based; accepted students will be placed in either Session I or II based on their technical ability.
A six-day program for adult dancers of all levels, offering technique classes, repertory, and master classes taught by acclaimed faculty and guest artists. Choose between Technique or Performance tracks.
A five-day intensive for aspiring ballet accompanists. Pianists study with rehearsal directors, School faculty, and Company dancers, developing skills essential for ballet accompaniment and performance.
