San Francisco Ballet in Dawson's Anima Animus

Digital Program 05

Digital Program 05

Looking for poetry, drama, and extreme virtuoso dancing? Helgi Tomasson’s 7 for Eight, a lyrical, neoclassical work for eight dancers incorporates sensual adagio, exuberant allegro, and everything in between. In the highly anticipated world premiere of Mrs. Robinson, master storyteller Cathy Marston puts her own spin on the mindset and motivations of The Graduate’s iconic temptress. David Dawson’s Anima Animus is ballet pushed to every extreme: technique stretched to its outer limit and physically emotional virtuosity.

*Note: 7 for Eight and Anima Animus will be archival captures.

The 2004 world premiere of 7 for Eight was made possible by Mr. Thomas J. Perkins and The Edward E. Hills Fund.

The 2018 world premiere of Anima Animus was made possible by Unbound Festival Presenting Sponsor Diane B. Wilsey and Grand Benefactor Sponsor Yurie and Carl Pascarella.
