THE GREEN ROOM AT THE VETERANS BUILDING | WAR MEMORIAL OPERA HOUSE

When A Midsummer Night’s Dream returns to the stage of the War Memorial Opera House this spring, it will be only the second time this magical ballet has delighted San Francisco Ballet audiences in more than 30 years. But, much like the treasured story, there will be a twist! When Puck, Bottom, Titiana, and all their friends take to the stage their wardrobe and world will look a bit different, with whimsical sets and costumes created by noted French designer Christian Lacroix.

To celebrate the return of this ballet, San Francisco Ballet will host an event perfect for the whole family on Saturday, March 23 in the Green Room of the Veteran’s Building at 12 PM. The afternoon will begin with a tea party in Green Room, complete with savory and sweet treats, tea, and other refreshments. Guests will be treated to fun and engaging activities for the young and the young at heart.

Following the tea, guests will cross over to the Opera House for the matinee performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. For those purchasing the Titiana Tea level, there will be a special post-performance experience.

Tickets will go on sale in the Fall of 2023, for more information or to add your name to a waitlist, please contact Meg Sullivan at msullivan@sfballet.org or 415-865-662

Proceeds benefit a wide range of SF Ballet artistic initiatives, including new works, scholarships for San Francisco Ballet School students, and community education programs for thousands of youth, families, and seniors.

If you already have tickets, we will be offering a tea-only level, please note this will not include the post-performance experience. We are happy to connect you with our box office if you wish to change your tickets or exchange them.
