The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and San Francisco Ballet Collaborate on Programming for Rudolf Nureyev: A Life in Dance

Friday Nights at the de Young
de Young, Wilsey Court; Friday, November 9, 6:30 pm-8:30 pm, free

Hosted by the San Francisco Ballet Center for Dance Education, participants will take part in a sophisticated and engaging evening of ballroom dance in the museum.  Professional ballroom dancers will lead a 45-minute instructional class in ballroom basics, followed by a social hour of cocktails, conversation and dancing. 

Family Dance Workshops
de Young, Piazzoni Murals Room,  Saturdays, November 10, December 8, January 12, 10-11:00 am ($3.00/member and $5.00/non-member)

Instructors of the San Francisco Ballet Center for Dance Education will lead participants through an introductory dance experience. Designed for children (ages 5-14) and their parents or guardians; these dance workshops explore the basics of ballet and creative movement. All workshops will take place in the Piazzoni Murals Room. (Pre-registration is required. Reserve your tickets through the De Young Museum ticketing)
