Company Auditions
San Francisco Ballet is no longer accepting applications for the 2026-2027 Season.
San Francisco Ballet, led by Artistic Director Tamara Rojo, is a world-leading ballet company and a trailblazing commissioner, collaborator, and presenter in dance. With a deep commitment to new and contemporary works and the classical repertoire, SF Ballet is a catalyst for the future of ballet, investing in commissions and acquisitions; presenting established and emerging choreographers with a breadth of viewpoints; uplifting dancers, artists, and creatives across disciplines; and cultivating the next generation of the world’s top dancers in its School.
It is home to more than 70 dancers including apprentices, corps de ballet, soloists, principal character dancers, and principal dancers.

Orchestra Auditions
San Francisco Ballet is proud to deploy a full orchestra for every performance we stage. Join a core group of 49 regular members, augmented to 65 players for certain productions during a performance season that includes an annual production of Nutcracker and a repertory season from winter through spring.

Announces the following tenure track vacancy starting December 1, 2026, or the candidate’s earliest availability.
Principal Clarinet
Auditions are scheduled for October 19-23, 2026.
2026-27 Minimum Compensation Guarantee for this position: $101,529, which includes Vacation Pay and EMG/Special Projects Guarantee.
Full season is December – early May.
Benefits include: 15.59% AFM-EPF pension, sick/personal leave, paid medical, dental, and instrument insurance; paid parking.
