From San Francisco, Alexander Reneff-Olson received his training at City Ballet School and San Francisco Ballet School. Named an apprentice in 2012, he joined the Company in 2013.
Reneff-Olson has danced a principal role in Tomasson’s Giselle (Hilarion) and featured roles in Tomasson’s Nutcracker (King of the Mice and Jack in the Box) and Caniparoli’s Tears.
His repertory includes Tomasson/Possokhov’s Don Quixote; Balanchine’s Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet (4th movement), Scotch Symphony, and Symphony in Three Movements; Cranko’s Onegin; Lifar’s Suite en Blanc; Neumeier’s The Little Mermaid; Nureyev’s Raymonda—Act III (Hungarian); Possokhov’s Firebird and The Rite of Spring; Ratmansky’s Shostakovich Trilogy (Symphony #9); and Wheeldon’s Cinderella (Winter, Tree Gnome, Courtier, and Spanish Cavalier).
