Born in Chicago, Illinois, Rebecca Rhodes trained at Dance Academy of Libertyville, Milwaukee Ballet School, and San Francisco Ballet School prior to being named an apprentice in 2008. She joined the Company in 2009.

Rhodes has danced featured roles in Tomasson’s Nutcracker (French and Spanish); Balanchine’s Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet (3rd movement demi-soloist), Scotch Symphony (Scotch Girl), and Symphony in Three Movements (soloist); Nureyev’s Raymonda—Act III (pas de trois); Possokhov’s Firebird (Little Princesses); and Wheeldon’s Ghosts (demi-soloist). She created a corps de ballet role in Scarlett’s Hummingbird.

Her repertory also includes Tomasson’s Giselle, Romeo & Juliet, Swan Lake, Caprice, and The Fifth Season; Tomasson/Possokhov’s Don Quixote; Balanchine’s Coppélia, Divertimento No. 15, The Four Temperaments, Jewels, Stravinsky Violin Concerto, and Symphony in C; Cranko’s Onegin; Fokine’s Petrouchka; Forsythe’s Artifact Suite; Liang’s Symphonic Dances; Lifar’s Suite en Blanc; Makarova’s (after Petipa) Kingdom of the Shades, Act II from La Bayadère; Neumeier’s The Little Mermaid; Possokhov’s The Rite of Spring; Ratmansky’s Le Carnaval des Animaux (Turtle), From Foreign Lands (Italian, Polish, and Hungarian), and Shostakovich Trilogy (Chamber Symphony and Piano Concerto #1); Robbins’ The Concert, Glass Pieces, and West Side Story Suite; and Wheeldon’s Cinderella (Autumn, Summer, and Courtier) and Number Nine.

Rhodes participated in the San Francisco Ballet School Trainee Program in 2007–2008.
