Megan Amanda Ehrlich was born in Charleston, South Carolina, and trained at Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C., and Space Coast Ballet Academy in Melbourne, Florida. Named an apprentice in 2011, she joined the Company in 2012.
Ehrlich has danced featured roles in Tomasson’s Nutcracker (French and Spanish), Cranko’s Onegin (Friend), and Lifar’s Suite en Blanc (Sieste), and Possokhov’s Firebird (Little Princesses).
Her repertory also includes Tomasson’s Giselle (Giselle’s Friends, Peasant, and Wili), Romeo & Juliet, and The Fifth Season; Tomasson/Possokhov’s Don Quixote; Balanchine’s Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet (1st and 3rd movements), Divertimento No. 15, The Four Temperaments, Scotch Symphony, and Symphony in Three Movements; Makarova’s (after Petipa) Kingdom of the Shades, Act II from La Bayadère; Nureyev’s Raymonda—Act III (Hungarian); Page’s Guide to Strange Places; Possokhov’s The Rite of Spring; Ratmansky’s Shostakovich Trilogy (Chamber Symphony); Robbins’ Glass Pieces; and Wheeldon’s Cinderella (Autumn, Courtier, and Bird Lady).
Ehrlich performed the role of Odette in Swan Lake for the International Children’s Festival in Washington, D.C., in May 2011; Nikolai Kabaniaev’s Bach de Trois at the National Society of Arts and Letters gala at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., in April 2011; at the Horatio Alger Awards Induction Ceremony in April 2011; and the Sugar Plum Fairy in Nutcracker with Gainesville Ballet in Washington, D.C., in December 2010.
