Born in Irvine, California, Jordan Hammond trained at Maple Conservatory of Dance, Ballet Pacifica, and San Francisco Ballet School prior to joining the Company in 2010.
Hammond has danced featured roles in Tomasson’s Nutcracker (French), Cranko’s Onegin (Friends), and Possokhov’s Firebird (Princess’ Friends).
Her repertory includes Tomasson’s Giselle, Romeo & Juliet, Swan Lake, “Haffner” Symphony, Prism, and Trio; Tomasson/Possokhov’s Don Quixote (Seguidilla, Gypsies, Driads, and Fandango); Balanchine’s Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet (4th movement), Coppélia, The Four Temperaments (Phlegmatic corps), Scotch Symphony, Serenade, Stravinsky Violin Concerto, Symphony in C, Symphony in Three Movements, and Theme and Variations; Fokine’s Petrouchka; Forsythe’s Artifact Suite; Liang’s Symphonic Dances; Lifar’s Suite en Blanc; Makarova’s (after Petipa) “The Kingdom of the Shades” from La Bayadère, Act II; Morris’ Maelstrom; Neumeier’s The Little Mermaid; Nureyev’s Raymonda—Act III (Hungarian); Possokhov’s Francesca da Rimini, The Rite of Spring, and Swimmer; Ratmansky’s Shostakovich Trilogy (Piano Concerto #1); Robbins’ The Concert and Glass Pieces; Scarlett’s Hummingbird; Thatcher’s Stone and Steel; Wheeldon’s Cinderella (Summer and Courtier), Ghosts, and Number Nine; and Zanella’s Underskin.
Hammond danced in the 2015 film of Tomasson’s Romeo & Juliet as part of the inaugural season of Lincoln Center at the Movies: Great American Dance. In 2009, she performed in the Assemblée Internationale in Toronto, Canada.
