Born in Irvine, California, Jordan Hammond trained at Maple Conservatory of Dance, Ballet Pacifica, and San Francisco Ballet School prior to joining the Company in 2010.
Hammond has danced featured roles in Tomasson’s Nutcracker (French), Cranko’s Onegin (Friend), and Possokhov’s Firebird (Princess’ Friend).
Her repertory includes Tomasson’s Giselle, Romeo & Juliet, Swan Lake, “Haffner” Symphony, Prism, and Trio; Balanchine’s Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet (4th movement), Coppélia, Scotch Symphony, Serenade, Stravinsky Violin Concerto, Symphony in C, Symphony in Three Movements, and Theme and Variations; Fokine’s Petrouchka; Forsythe’s Artifact Suite; Lifar’s Suite en Blanc; Makarova’s (after Petipa) Kingdom of the Shades, Act II from La Bayadère; Morris’ Maelstrom; Neumeier’s The Little Mermaid; Nureyev’s Raymonda—Act III (Hungarian); Possokhov’s Francesca da Rimini and The Rite of Spring; Ratmansky’s Shostakovich Trilogy (Piano Concerto #1); Robbins’ The Concert; Thatcher’s Stone and Steel; Wheeldon’s Cinderella (Summer and Courtier), Ghosts, and Number Nine; and Zanella’s Underskin.
In 2009, Hammond performed in the Assemblée Internationale in Toronto, Canada.
