Born in Palm Harbor, Florida, Lauren Parrott received her training at Georgia Ballet School and San Francisco Ballet School. She was named an apprentice in 2012 and joined the Company in 2013.
Parrott has danced featured roles in Tomasson’s Giselle (pas de cinq and Giselle’s Friends), Nutcracker (Spanish and Ballerina Doll), and Romeo & Juliet (Juliet’s Friends); Tomasson/Possokhov’s Don Quixote (Bridesmaids); and Balanchine’s The Four Temperaments (Melancholic demi-soloist). She created a corps de ballet role in Tomasson’s Caprice.
Her repertory also includes Tomasson’s The Fifth Season; Balanchine’s Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet (3rd movement), Coppélia, Scotch Symphony, Serenade, Symphony in C, and Symphony in Three Movements; Lifar’s Suite en Blanc; Makarova’s (after Petipa) “The Kingdom of the Shades” from La Bayadère, Act II; Nureyev’s Raymonda—Act III (Hungarian); Possokhov’s Firebird; Ratmansky’s Shostakovich Trilogy (Symphony #9); Robbins’ Glass Pieces; Thatcher’s Manifesto; and Wheeldon’s Cinderella (Spring and Courtiers).
Parrott danced in the 2015 film of Tomasson’s Romeo & Juliet (Juliet’s Friends) as part of the inaugural season of Lincoln Center at the Movies: Great American Dance.
