Named an Apprentice in 2012.

Joined as a Corps de Ballet member in 2013.

Born in San Francisco, Emma Rubinowitz received her training at City Ballet School and San Francisco Ballet School. Named an apprentice in 2011, she joined the Company in 2012.

Rubinowitz has danced featured roles in Tomasson’s Giselle (pas de cinq) and Nutcracker (Ballerina Doll and Spanish) and Possokhov’s Firebird (Little Princesses).

Her repertory also includes Tomasson’s Criss-Cross (Avison-Scarlatti movement) and The Fifth Season; Tomasson/Possokhov’s Don Quixote; Balanchine’s Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet (3rd movement), Coppélia, Scotch Symphony, and Symphony in Three Movements; Lifar’s Suite en Blanc; Makarova’s (after Petipa) Kingdom of the Shades, Act II from La Bayadère; Nureyev’s Raymonda—Act III (Hungarian); Possokhov’s The Rite of Spring; Robbins’ Glass Pieces; and Wheeldon’s Cinderella (Spring and Courtier).
