Aaron Renteria, from Corona, California, attended two summer sessions at San Francisco Ballet School before becoming a year-round student in 2008. He was in the Trainee Program for two years before being named an apprentice in 2013. He joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet in 2014.

Renteria has performed featured roles in Tomasson’s Nutcracker (Spanish and Russian) and Concerto Grosso; Tomasson/Possokhov’s Don Quixote (Toreadors); and the 4th movement and finale from Symphony in C (demi-soloist).

His repertory also includes Tomasson’s Giselle, Romeo & Juliet, Caprice, and The Fifth Season; Balanchine’s Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet (4th movement) and excerpts from Theme and Variations; Lifar’s Suite en Blanc; Possokhov’s Firebird, The Rite of Spring, and Swimmer; Robbins’ Glass Pieces; Scarlett’s Hummingbird; and Wheeldon’s Cinderella.

Renteria danced in the 2015 film of Tomasson’s Romeo & Juliet (Capulet Men) as part of the inaugural season of Lincoln Center at the Movies: Great American Dance.
