Our Let’s Dance Family Workshops are a perfect way to prepare your child to see ballet for the first time or to continue fostering the imaginations of kids who already know our productions by heart. Each special 60-minute interactive workshop is designed to introduce young audiences to the beauty and wonder of dance through an exploration of choreography, music, and characters in a ballet.

Upcoming Let's Dance Family Workshop:
Serenade and Rodeo

Does your child love to dance? Are you going to SF Ballet’s free outdoor summer performance at Stern Grove Festival? Before you bring your kids to see the performance at Stern Grove, join us in the ballet studio on Sunday, July 22 for a Let’s Dance Family Workshop to learn about the ballets, music, characters, and choreography that you’ll see performed at Stern Grove! Featuring Balanchine’s Serenade and Justin Peck’s high-energy Rodeo: Four Dance Episodes.

Children should wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement. Ballet shoes are not required. Children are welcome to wear their favorite ballet costume.

Please note: Performance tickets are sold separately and are not required to attend a Let’s Dance Family Workshop. Each child may only attend one Let’s Dance Family Workshop per day. Workshop participants will receive an email confirmation 1 week before the workshop with additional information. Paper and electronic tickets will not be issued for the workshops. We reserve the right to cancel a workshop in the event of insufficient enrollment.
