Drop-In Ballet Classes
June 18–August 2

Drop-in classes run like a traditional ballet class starting at the barre and then moving to the center through traditional class exercises and combinations. Be prepared to sweat (at least a little) and to have a good time. Anyone who is new to ballet should start with the beginner ballet series before attending drop-in classes.

Ballet slippers are required for all classes.

Registration for summer classes is now open.

Beginner Ballet Series
June 16–July 28, 2018
Saturdays 2:45–4:15 pm

The seven-session beginner series is for those who are new to ballet and those who feel like they would like to get a handle on the basics. Instruction will be broken down to the core elements and then built each week so that you'll finish feeling confident and excited to continue your training in drop-in classes.

Seven-week session: $192

Please sign up for the waitlist online and contact if the waitlist is full.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who teaches the classes?

The following SF Ballet School faculty regularly teach the Adult Ballet classes: Tina LeBlanc, Jeff Lyons, Cecelia Beam, and Jordan Hammond.

What if I’m not sure I will be able to complete the class?

We encourage you to attend and complete as much of the class as you feel capable of. If you need to sit out for the last combination or two, that’s just fine, you’re welcome to watch.

Can I watch a class before taking one?

Unfortunately, we do not allow class observations. We encourage you to try it out and see if you like it. You’ll have a much better understanding of the class if you’re up and moving than by sitting and watching.

What happens if I’m late to class?

For the safety and consideration of all, studio doors will close five minutes after class begins.
