Skyla Schreter created roles in Bubeníček’s Fragile Vessels, Dawson’s Anima Animus (featured), Forsythe’s Pas/Parts 2016, Pita’s Björk Ballet, and Peck’s In the Countenance of Kings. She has danced featured roles in Tomasson’s Giselle (Giselle’s Friends), Nutcracker (Spanish and French), Romeo & Juliet (Juliet’s Friends), and Swan Lake (Aristocrats); Tomasson/Possokhov’s Don Quixote (Bridesmaids); and Balanchine’s Coppélia (Swanilda’s Friends and Brides).
Her repertory includes Balanchine’s Diamonds, The Four Temperaments (Melancholic corps), Rubies, Serenade, Stravinsky Violin Concerto, the 4th movement and finale from Symphony in C, and Theme and Variations; Cranko’s Onegin; Makarova’s (after Petipa) “The Kingdom of the Shades” from La Bayadère, Act II; Possokhov’s Swimmer; Robbins’ The Cage and Glass Pieces; Tomasson’s Prism and Trio; and Wheeldon’s Cinderella (Spring corps and Courtiers) and Frankenstein.
Skyla danced in the 2015 film of Tomasson’s Romeo & Juliet (Lincoln Center at the Movies: Great American Dance). She participated in the Works and Process Series at the Guggenheim Museum and performed in student choreographic workshops and demonstrations for the School of American Ballet and the New York Choreographic Institute.
