Ludmila Bizalion has danced featured roles in Tomasson’s Nutcracker (Spanish, Arabian, and French), The Sleeping Beauty (Lilac Fairy, Fairy of Darkness), Swan Lake (Aristocrats, Swan Maidens, Czardas Princess), and Haffner Symphony (soloist); Balanchine’s Diamonds (soloist); Caniparoli’s Ibsen’s House (“Ghosts”); Robbins’ The Cage (Queen) and West Side Story Suite (Maria); Scarlett’s Frankenstein (Caroline Beaufort, Madame Moritz); and Wheeldon’s Cinderella (Cinderella’s Mother, Stepmother Hortensia). Her repertory includes Balanchine’s Emeralds, The Four Temperaments, Serenade, Stravinsky Violin Concerto, Symphony in C, and Theme and Variations; Kudelka’s The Ruins Proclaim the Building Was Beautiful; Robbins’ The Concert, Fancy Free, and Opus 19/The Dreamer; Tomasson’s On a Theme of Paganini and Prism; Tudor’s Jardin aux Lilas; and Wheeldon’s Bound To, Carousel (A Dance), Ghosts, and Rush. She created roles in Marston’s Snowblind and Rhoden’s LET’S BEGIN AT THE END.
Elsewhere, Ludmila danced Allan’s Cinderella (Summer Fairy); Elo’s Lost by Last and Shape of Glow; Fokine’s Les Sylphides; Forsythe’s Artifact, in Impressing the Czar (Act 1 pas de deux), in the middle, somewhat elevated, and New Sleep (soloist); Haydée’s The Sleeping Beauty (Diamond Fairy); Hynd’s The Merry Widow; and Kohler’s The Nutcracker (Russian Doll).
As a guest artist, in 2016 Ludmila performed Dekkers’ Do Be: Double Happiness and the Act 3 pas de deux from Saint-Leon’s Coppélia with Diablo Ballet, and Caniparoli’s Tutto Eccetto il Lavandino and Pickett’s Oasis with Smuin Ballet. In 2015 she danced The Nutcracker with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal and Delwaide’s Serenade pour Cordes et Corps with Diablo Ballet.
