Isabella DeVivo has danced featured or principal roles in Tomasson’s Giselle (Peasant pas de cinq and Solo Wili), Nutcracker (Ballerina Doll, Queen of the Snow, Sugar Plum Fairy, and Spanish), Romeo & Juliet (Acrobats and Harlots), and Swan Lake (Act 1 pas de trois, Cygnets, Neapolitan, and Russian); Tomasson/Possokhov’s Don Quixote (Kitri’s Friends); Balanchine’s Coppélia (Swanilda’s Friends and Jesterettes) and Theme and Variations (soloist); Caniparoli’s Tears (principal); Peck’s In the Countenance of Kings (Quantus); Scarlett’s Fearful Symmetries (principal) and Hummingbird (soloist); and Wheeldon’s Cinderella (Spirit of Spring/Lightness). She created roles in Bubeníček’s Fragile Vessels, Millepied’s The Chairman Dances, Tomasson’s Caprice, and Thatcher’s Ghost in the Machine and Manifesto.
Her repertory includes Balanchine’s Allegro Brillante, Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet (corps de ballet in pas de deux excerpt), The Four Temperaments (Melancholic demi-soloist and Sanguinic), Serenade, and Stravinsky Violin Concerto; Caniparoli’s Lambarena; Cranko’s Onegin; Forsythe’s Pas/Parts 2016; MacMillan’s Concerto excerpt; Makarova’s (after Petipa) “The Kingdom of the Shades” from La Bayadère, Act II; Morris’ Drink to Me Only With Thine Eyes and Maelstrom; Possokhov’s Classical Symphony, Firebird, and Swimmer; Ratmansky’s From Foreign Lands (Russian, Spanish, and Hungarian) and Shostakovich Trilogy (Symphony #9 and Piano Concerto #1); Robbins’ Glass Pieces; Scarlett’s Frankenstein; Thatcher’s Stone and Steel; Tomasson’s The Fifth Season and Trio; and Wheeldon’s Rush and Within the Golden Hour.
Isabella danced in the 2015 film of Tomasson’s Romeo & Juliet as part of the inaugural season of Lincoln Center at the Movies: Great American Dance. She performed in Chita Rivera: A Dancer’s Life on Broadway.
