Angelo Greco has danced such major roles as Grand Pas de Deux Prince in Tomasson’s Nutcracker, Henry Clerval in Scarlett’s Frankenstein, Benjamin in Wheeldon’s Cinderella, and the Son in Balanchine’s Prodigal Son. He has danced principal roles in Tomasson’s Swan Lake (Act 1 pas de trois), Haffner Symphony, and Trio; Ratmansky’s Seven Sonatas; and Thatcher’s Foragers. Other roles include Hostages in Pita’s Salome, the Act 3 pas de deux from Tomasson/Possokhov’s Don Quixote, Chinese in Tomasson’s Nutcracker, and the Spirit of Autumn/Mystery in Wheeldon’s Cinderella. He created a role in Possokhov’s Optimistic Tragedy (Two Sailors).
Elsewhere, his repertory included principal and featured roles in Béjart’s Gaîté Parisienne (Bim), Duato’s Nutcracker, MacMillan’s Romeo and Juliet (Romeo), Nureyev’s Don Quixote (Basilio), and Ratmansky’s The Sleeping Beauty (Prince Desiré and Blue Bird).
Angelo won the award for best male dancer at The International Competition for the Erik Bruhn Prize in Toronto, Canada, in November 2016. He received the Outstanding Artistry Award, presented by Dance Europe, in 2011 and 2012.
