Peter Wahrhaftig is a principal tubaist with San Francisco Ballet Orchestra. In addition, he is a principal tubaist for Sun Valley Summer Symphony and San Francisco Contemporary Music Players. He is a founding member of the Grammy-nominated The Bay Brass and has performed with San Francisco Symphony, San Francisco Opera, Israel Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, St. Louis Symphony, and Oakland-East Bay Symphony.  Other notable groups he has performed with include Ringling Brothers-Barnum and Bailey Circus, Spoleto Festival USA, and heavy metal legends Metallica.

Additionally, he is an active recording musician, having appeared in numerous movie and video game soundtracks. He is active as a teacher, and a chamber musician, and has been seen using a cimbasso.

Peter enjoys spending time with his wife, Rena, and his two young daughters.
