Peter Wahrhaftig

Peter Wahrhaftig is the principal tubaist of the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra as well as with the Sun Valley Summer Symphony. He is a founding member of the Grammy-nominated Bay Brass and has performed with the San Francisco Symphony, the San Francisco Opera, the Israel Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, and the St. Louis Symphony. Other notable groups he has performed with include the Ringling Brothers-Barnum and Bailey Circus, the Spoleto Festival Orchestra, and heavy metal legends Metallica. 

Additionally, he is an active recording musician, having appeared in numerous movie and video game soundtracks. He is active as a teacher, a chamber musician, and has been seen using a cimbasso.

Peter enjoys spending time with his wife, Rena, and their two children.
