Keith Green grew up in Belleville, Michigan, and has been second horn with San Francisco Ballet Orchestra since 1991 and second horn with San Francisco Opera Orchestra since 1994.
Green graduated from Western Michigan University in 1982, where he studied horn with Neill Sanders. After an inspiring master class by Dave Krehbiel, then principal horn of San Francisco Symphony, Keith decided to move to San Francisco to study with Krehbiel. He holds a Master of Music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Before his current Opera and Ballet positions, Green freelanced in the Bay Area for a decade, including three-year-long stints with the San Francisco Symphony.
Keith resides in Oakland with his wife Katy Juneau, a professional violist, and their children Abby and Drew. He finds time for golf now and then and hopes never to let a summer go by without family camping in the Sierras or beyond.
