Principal Dancer Davit Karapetyan Receives an Emmy Award

On Saturday, June 4, the dance film 1915 Meran Vor Aprink (They Died So We May Live) choreographed by SF Ballet Principal Dancer Davit Karapetyan was awarded an Emmy Award by the San Francisco Northern California Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Dedicated to the Armenian Genocide and its survivors, the 11-minute film was recognized under the Arts/Entertainment—Program/Special category and was among over 900 English and Spanish submissions in over 67 categories.
