Audition Availability

Unfortunately, San Francisco Ballet is not accepting dancer auditions at this time. There are no longer any positions available for the 2016–17 season. Please check back for updates.

General Requirements

For your future reference, auditions for the Company are by invitation only. If you are invited to audition, we’ll need the following:

  • Resume or CV: to include all performing experience with a Professional Ballet Company, training, height, awards received, etc.
  • Dance photos (two to three different full-body views)
  • Performance footage (two classical and one contemporary) via email links or DVD

Note that an audition is not guaranteed. An audition will only be granted after our ballet masters have reviewed your materials and feel that you may be an appropriate candidate.

SF Ballet is a professional classical ballet company with a guaranteed minimum 42-week per year AGMA contract. A limited number of apprenticeships are available each contract year, mainly offered to students from San Francisco Ballet School’s Trainee Program.
