Casting has been announced!

 

Artistic Director & Principal Choreographer Helgi Tomasson's The Fifth Season opens this program, followed by Symphonic Dances, a world premiere work by internationally renowned choreographer Edwaard Liang (named by Dance Magazine as one of the "Top 25 to Watch"), his first piece created expressly for SF Ballet. The program concludes with Jerome Robbins' Glass Pieces, set to a driving score by Philip Glass that captures the pulsating rhythm of city life.

The 2006 world premiere of The Fifth Season was made possible in part by the Herbert Family and the Phyllis C. Wattis Endowment. The 2012 world premiere of Edwaard Liang’s work is made possible by Lead Sponsors Richard C. Barker, David and Kelsey Lamond, and Yurie and Carl Pascarella, and Sponsors Doris and Ted Lee.
