SF Ballet Auxiliary

Founded in 1960, the San Francisco Ballet Auxiliary is a fundraising group of 100 dedicated women who support San Francisco Ballet with style and enthusiasm. Lending their diverse talents and business acumen, the Auxiliary volunteers seek support from deep within the greater Bay Area. Auxiliary events annually result in net contributions to San Francisco Ballet of over $1 million. Officers for fiscal year 2008-2009 include President Alison Mauze and Vice President Stephanie von Thaden. The Publicity Chair is Kate Coffino. For further information, please send inquiries to sfballetauxiliary@sfballet.info. The following links provide information about the Auxiliary’s annual events:

This December, SF Ballet will once again bring Tommasson's highly acclaimed Nutcracker to the Opera House stage. On Saturday, December 12, 2009, the SF Ballet Auxilairy will host its fourth annual Nutcracker luncheon in the War Memorial Opera House. With a host of holiday acitivities and entertainment, gourmet food and magical surprises, guests will receive premier seating for the Nutcracker performance, and take part in a special backstage tour at the conclusion of the performance for the Grand Benefactor ticket purchasers.

Opening Night Gala
Please join the SF Ballet Auxiliary on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, to celebrate Helgi Tomasson’s silver anniversary as Artistic Director of SF Ballet and to launch SF Ballet’s 2010 Repertory Season.

Student Showcase
In May 2009, the Auxiliary celebrated the students of SF Ballet School with dinner at an elegant restaurant before the Student Showcase performance at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater. Student Showcase is the culmination of the year's study for students in Ballet 2 through Ballet 8 and includes ballet performances by the pre-professional dancers in the Trainee Program.
